Cities Through Glass

In October 2014, the first Google Glass event open to the public was hosted in Durham, North Carolina, kicking off a roadshow throughout the USA. The goal was to educate and inspire future customers, policymakers, and the press by letting them try Glass. The 1,500-person event consisted of three parts: a media open house, an invite-only demo experience for policymakers and local influencers, and a public event. Glass fans camped out at 6:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. start, and a line of excited North Carolinians persisted throughout the day.
